Unashamedly bold, Martin Friedrich Architects' Bolton Ave residence is a statement in contemporary grandeur. Situated in Melbourne's South East, this home exudes presence. From the grand porte-cochere, supported by large stone columns, through to wrap around driveway, and double storey glazed entrance, this is a home we wouldn't mind spending lockdown in.
The homeowners are strong supporters of Australian Made furniture, selecting the Felix Sofa and Nesting Tables for the main living area. With views of the pool from the living area, the Felix Sofa's low profile, classic shape and relaxing comfort were deciding factors in it's selection. The use of Mokum's Ficus upholstery on the sofas, gave a subtle, varied texture, ensuring the piece remained the supporting actor to the pool outside.
Moving from the living to the the dining area, the Reuben Dining Table in Coal makes a sharp impression. Being made to order, meant the homeowner could select the timber construction (Solid or Veneer), the timber (American Oak or Victorian Ash), the stain (seven standard options) and the dimensions to suit their new home.
Upstairs in the Master bedroom, the Harper Bedhead imparts a luxurious presence, with New South Wales' leather. While often not the first choice when selecting upholstery for the bedroom, leather gives textural contrast to linen, while also being easy to maintain and care for.
